my theory is do what you want ie put a 6ft up and wait to see if you get told off later lol
all they can do is tell you to lower it and to be honest whats the chances of them coming round the estate with a clipboard and measuring all the fences!
I suspect the only reason would be if you were blocking something and somone complained about it.0
