The London Mayor also reignited speculation that he is planning a future Tory leadership bid by confirming he is considering returning to Parliament.
Oh I'd just love him as PM. Forget all the serious stuff....the country would cheer up just watching his antics on TV!
He'd need a VERY good deputy!!
Massive house building programme for the city would be lovely. Hope he realises there is life outside of it though! He said: ‘The Government needs to stop !!!!!footing around. The way to get business really motoring in the UK is to cut taxes, cut regulation, create the infrastructure and get behind it. That’s what you should do. That’s what I recommend.
‘There’s a real opportunity to capitalise on the Olympics. [To] look at London as the motor that can drive growth.
‘This is the time to be ambitious about London and what it can do for Britain. One of the ways of doing that would be to commit to further infrastructure – Crossrail 2, more river crossings, a massive house-building programme for the city.’

What Boris does well is disarm your preconceptions. He /appears/ bumbling, but he is actually a very smart and capable cookie. This actually makes for a very potent combination, people don't take an instant dislike to 'a politician', but feel at ease with the man, and so more receptive to his ideas.0

This man is more dangerous than anything that has come before.
He is Bush, Reagan, Pol Pot, Thatcher and Blair, with a brain that works.

"You can get away with a clown in the mayor's job, but not for Prime Minister, surely?"- my Dad.
I know there is a sharp, opportunistic mind underneath the bumbling jollity (which I find increasingly grating), but I can't see the man representing Britain on the world stage. I've always wondered if he'd be quite so famous with receding brown hair and a name like John or Steve. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
Imagine Prime Ministers Questions. It'd become prime time TV. Would be an absolute hoot!0

I think he would do a great job, we have the right team driving the country, just the wrong leader0

UK would be fun with him in charge...if the outcome of all parties are the same anyway - let's have someone who will give us a laugh at least!
Boris for Prime Minister please:T0 -
Better than wallace anyhow.0

Strikes me that Charles Kennedy could fulfill the role of deputy adequately. He's can be almost as entertaining as Boris when he's had a few.0 -
there's no doubt he's very entertaining but you do need to be very careful what you wish for. all is not what it seems with boris.
it'd be far better if he actually became a full-time tv presenter, on something like qi or have i got news for you (which he's already guest-hosted several times).
the same entertainment value but you're not putting him in charge of anything critical!'Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.'

Sorry to spoil the fun but Boris can't be PM as he doesn't have a seat in Parliament.
Don't be fooled by the buffoonery BTW. He got to Eton with a scholarship and there's no way his partners could have paid for him to go.
Don't confuse a knee jerk dislike of The Tories with a lack of capability of a member of the Conservative Party!0
