Is the beef roasting joint good value in comparison with the supermarkets?0

After pay day this month, I think I may try lidl or aldi instead of the usual morrisons/tesco/asda.
Is it really worth it? Do you really notice the difference in cost?
Thank You0 -

You can but try.
There will be some unknown brand names, but do not let that put you off.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Just came back from Lidl and want to report back on the passata for 59p/kg. Lidl have the same brand in 500g cartons for 28p a carton so works out cheaper

My shopping from Morrisons used to cost around £50 per week. Now that I shop at Lidl it costs around £30 a week - so yes, totally worth it in my eyes!

Excellent, i think I will give it a go then. I've seen a few bits on here, do they accept cards? And do you need to take your own carrier bags?
Thanks0 -
Yes they accept cards, and they have carrier bags available, In my experience you can save quite a lot of money, and yet get very good quality. I personally go around most of the stores and get the bargains that are of use to me and stock up! Since I have been doing this my shopping bill has drastically reducedLow Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs

They do take debit cards, but not credit cards. They do have carrier bags, but you have to pay for them so best to take your own.
Also you don't pack as they scan your shopping, you load it back in the trolley then pack it at the packing bench unless you're quick at packing!0 -

Highlight of my week, beating the operator and packing it as he rings it in :rotfl:. Hate the ones who ring up 10 items at once and then chuck them at you - that's Extreme Packing
. A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
