illness in France

Has anyone been to France recently (last 3 months say) and become aware of health problems around Aubusson? A friend is there now and her 18 year old daughter has become quite ill with sickness/swelling/rash that comes and goes over ENTIRE body. She is currently in hospital but the hospital is struggling to figure out what has happened so treating by trial and error.
Anyone come across anything like this before?

A lose online search, over the last three months, on combinations of Aubosson+sickness/illness/health/rash, doesn't throw up anything significant other than your post. So, if there is something it hasn't been widely reported.

Sorry not to be able to offer anything concrete, hope she starts to improve soon.

I would have thought that if this was a general problem they would have known how to treat it - the French health service is excellent.

Thanks for responses. They are literally, as I type this, waiting for the doctor to come and tell them the results of the tests done so fingers crossed. :eek:
