Follow up article which is an improvement, 7.5/10. http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=17279I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Time to fight back, as only journalists and PPCs seem to be perpetuating the myth of "fines", though advertorials are the only thing holding many magazines together nowadays so I don't hold out much hope. Shockingly bad journalism and no better than you'd expect from a local rag.WageSlave1 wrote: »...Whenever you see a story about parking charge tickets in the local rag's interweb edition post some comments explaining that the charges are unenforceable penalties, etc or better yet also email the journalist concerned so that maybe he'll include mention of this fact in his next piece. The startling and undeserved wealth of that sender of computerized begging letters, Mr Renshaw-Smith, may be a hook to get a journalist interested in what you're saying.0 -

A much better article. Sounds like someone's been reading online fora (or more likely someone here or on PepiPoo fed the lazy journos with the info).
Pity about the spelling error in the very first line, and it's a pity there's no reference to who actually holds the contract (i.e. not the PPC) but nonetheless there's plenty there to have Perky and his ilk choking on their champagne.Je suis Charlie.0
