Double glazing/Maintenance fee

Hi all,
I own my flat, however I do pay a maintenance fee (not that much ever seems to be done with that cash!) and I am paying to have my own double glazing fitted. I did contact the maintenance company to request this was done, but they had no plans to do this on the four flats in my block. So I've done it alone, and will be having uPVC double glazed windows fitted in a week and a half. The guy from the company that I've gone with has mentioned to me that I should be able to request a reduction in maintenance for this, due to the fact that they won't need to maintain the windows and I've paid for it myself. Does anyone have any more information on this please? I'd like to contact the maintenance company asap but I want to know my stuff so they can't wriggle out of it! They have recently sent notification that they will be repainting and cleaning the exterior of the building in September, so I want to get to them before this and inform them I should be exempt from this and the fees it will incur, as I won't have the wooden frames they will be maintaining. Hope this makes sense - please help!
