Ikea laminate review

Have just seen that Ikea do a laminate floor, looking at both the Slatten (£3.70 sqm) and Tundra (£7 sqm). Can't see any reviews on the web, has anyone used this and could tell me about quality, ease of installation etc? Particularly for the Slatten as on very tight budget.

Not sure how helpful I am going to be but...
We put in Ikea laminate throughout our ground floor (except Kitchen) - I don't think it was the cheapest one but the one above only I don't remember paying £7 The total cost was about £200 so it was definitely cost effective. We've just moved house so it has been down 7 years - there were a few nicks in it where something sharp and pointy had been dropped on it but there were no gaps or stains or anything else. I would definitely put it down again. My husband spent a long time putting it in and making sure that there were no gaps as he was going along - all in all a perfectionists attitude which may be why it lasted so well. If I hadn't moved house I would not be replacing it for a few years yet - I'd wait until it was really bad!
My sister lives in rented and even managed to disassemble hers and put it in her new place! If you have any specific questions I can ask hubby when he is around.
I would recommend it though. I never washed it with water - just go over it with a damp microfibre mop - thats all it needs. It is quite forgiving.
Hope you get sorted0 -
BrucieBonus,
I am having the same dilemma, what did you decide?

I was wondering the exact same thing yesterday! Except I'm interest in the Prärie one
We would put it down in the 2 bedrooms once we have our new house.

Well last week we went for the Tundra in oak, laying it this week so fingers crossed, will give an update!
It was laid on the shop floor though and looked lovely.0 -

i would never recommend laminate in bedrooms it's not very forgiving noise wise, if you have kids that stomp about & drop toys you will soon get fed up with the noiseI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
We had the tundra throughout the hall and kitchen/diner in my last house. Was down 10 years and a lot of traffic. The only area that "wore" was under my computer chair - a place I sat for around 10 hours a day0
