in Credit cards
The credit cards we have are in my husband's name. Will I have difficulty getting a cc in my own name as I am no longer earning? Will I be offered a low max. spend? Advice welcome.

some CCs will take your partners income into account
do you have any income?0 -
Yes, about £20,000 a year0

Sorry, that's £20,000 of personal and state pension, not joint income.0

Has all credit previously been in your husband's name? as credit cards aren't joint products they wouldn't appear directly on your credit history... As such a lack of history may be an issue.
If this is the case the normal recommendation is to try your current account bank before anyone else, as obviously they hold a greater amount of info. about you.0 -
If you have a salary/pension of £20k with no debts and a clean credit file you should find no problem getting a card - my suggestion is to try your own bank first.
I am curious though about why you feel the need for a card in your own name now - is there something you haven't posted - sorry just being nosey.0 -
It does make life a little easier in the event of the demise (premature or otherwise) of the other cardholder
Would the card company allow 'take over' of the card then? Maybe maybe not but it wouldn't be automatic. One less worry.0
