Take the chance or cancel and lose money?

I wanted to take our 5 year old away for one night so when my partner saw this for £30 he booked it. I looked at the reviews when he told me and it looks terrible, apparently there is loud music all night so now I don't know what to do?

Would you stay here with a 5 year old? If we cancel it then we will lose the money, I am thinking ear plugs and hoping for the best :rotfl:.

It depends (although £30 against a good nights sleep? I think I'd rather lose the £30). Does your 5-year old sleep well? The hotel itself says its right next door to a live music venue, and there will be late night noise. Even with earplugs I suspect that boom-boom-boom music would penetrate that and I would be a very grumpy balletshoes the following morning. Even worse if your child can't sleep and is crying because of it.

Looks a decent place for £30 a night and right next door to the old hippy. Ask the LL for the quietest room if possible (you might not have the cracking sea view but for £30 a night i doubt you ever did). You wont really get anywhere along the seafront of any decent coastal resort without noise from a nightclub . Your 5 yo will sleep through after a great walk along the front

I'm really torn with it, it is just a place to sleep and as long as the sheets are clean then i'm happy - i've stayed in worse! My little one isn't a light sleeper so i'm hoping it will be ok.
    Thanks.

Get away and enjoy yourselves, like you say, it's just a place to sleep. Take some earplugs just in case.

    Enjoy........
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Thats what I would do - Boots do some wonderful earplugs (get the light brown ones as opposed to the orange ones - they are softer and stay put!).

Have a few drinks during the evening and ensure you wear your 5 year old out on the beach during the day and you'll be fine! Enjoy! :)
