Hi guys.
I'm moving into a property next Saturday (25/8/12). Its a house share, well the landlord is renting out a room.
I was thinking of getting the Tenancy agreement signed and deposit and month in advanced paid on Monday with the intention of moving in (and starting my payments) on the Saturday.
So can that be done? Can I get the contact signed with the condition of moving in a few days later.
Then at least that's all sorted out and the land lord knows I'm serious etc as he is getting a lot of interest.

1) if the LL lives there, it is not an AST - you will be a lodher/excluded occupier
2) you can agree to start your tenancy/lodger agreement etc on any date you wish. Whether you choose to move in on that date is up to yo, provided you pay rent from the agreed start date.0
