Parking Eye can ID me

Hello all, firstly I'd like to apologise for starting another one of these threads, I have done a search and I know that everyone is saying ignore them, it's a scam etc...

However, in the letter I have received I am clearly identifiable as the driver of the car (I'm smiling at the camera like a loon!). Everything I have read or seen in the Watchdog video on youtube it says that if they can not identify you then just ignore them.

My question is what happens if they can identify you as the driver?

Thanks in advance.

How can they identify you? They don't know what you look like, the geezer in the photo could be anyone.

    Ignore them.

Unless PE have a database with photos and names of all the UK population then there is no way they can identify you. Even the police don't have that capability. Hence the photo appeals on CrimeWatch

Knowing the identity of the driver doesn't alter the terms of the contract which are very likely to attempt to impose an unenforceable contractual penalty.

Absolutely nothing. "Photo Evidence" has no bearing whatsoever here.

so what, all you have recieved from parking spy is a FAKE TICKET,,so what are you worrying about, other than paying it with monopoly money????ignore the clowns and all threat o grams to follow.its a SCAM.
  • Ignore them, they send a letter to the registered keeper of the car.
That's because they don't know who is in the picture, they will only know it is you if you appeal and admit it was you.
