esa wrag first personal advisor interview been cancelled by jobcentre.

was due to have my first interview with my personal advisor tomorrow but this morning they rang me and said they were on a training course tomorrow.
although a new appointment has been made for september with another advisor i was wondering( wishful thinking) if it may be about my appeal to be placed in the support group and was maybe good news in a roundabout way.
was wondering what peoples thoughts on this are and if anyone else had had this experience.
many thanks

It is wishful thinking. In fact evidence suggests they've not yet taken a (favourable) decision since they're arranged another WFI appointment.

Yes, I agree with Muttley, this indicates that your local JCP have not been notified of any move to the Support Group.

my wishful thinking was that a decision had been made and thats why the interview had been cancelled and that they had arranged another interview as a smokescreen as my local jobcentre are not allowed to tell me as they are not dealing with my esa
  • Very wishful thinking I'm afraid. Anyone from JCP could discuss your claim with you as long as they were satisfied you were who you claim to be.

Advisor time at the JCP is limited so they wouldn't waste their time booking an interview they didn't believe you would need. It's not an exactly professional way to go about things, is it?

If your appeal is successful you will be notified in writing.
