  • Hello Hello - is there any peoples in the box today?

I is whispering 'coz Mistress is sleeping. Don't want her to wake up.

Why? I think she is cross with bad-head from fighting bits of paper in the night.
Yes very silly; paper is for scrunching or tearing up and bulls is for fighting but Mistress doesn't seem to know that. :(

And she's angry with her box too. All night it sits with blue picture not moving. Next to it is Master's box with scent of him still on it. :o This one has different letters, better for me to play with I think because there are no gaps - Mistress can't complain about dog-slobber dripping into this box! :D

I has a message for all Friends; Mistress said she is not doing anything else until the papers are - in her words - beaten into submission..

 I wonder if that means no more walks before then?

  • Hi CD - I am typing this quietly in case Mistress is sleeping again.

Thanks for letting us know that she is allright and is beating her paperwork into submission - she can then send it to THEM and forget all about it.

I agree with NL, I too caught my breath when I read that masters pc still smelt of him. It is indeed poignant and yet strangely comforting.

    Be a good CD

Hi CD, good of you to let us know Mistress is ok! I think it is very brave of her to tackle the paperwork! Give her lots of big licks from me (I think she'd rather you did it than I did it :D).

I hope you managed to get a walk and you aren't sitting cross legged still Xx

  • Hello Clever Dog

I think you should drag mistress out on a nice walk so she gets a bit of fresh air in amongst all the paperwork. Perhaps offer to lend her your lead? :D

  • Hey Clever Dog :)

Really good to hear from you again. Thanks for keeping us updated on Mistress. We're all keeping a close watch on her here too :) I'm glad you're there with her when we can't be (although I know we're all there in spirit though not in body!)

    Big cuddles for everyone :)

  • Hello to all Mistress' Friends! :D

Must be quick before she gets out of shower (can't imagine why she likes doing that :o).

Was a good idea thanks, but didn't work.. Mistress would not come so I thought if I went first then she would follow. Instead she shouted at me as I got to the gate, and when I ran back - trying to be a good dog - she tied me to the chain again!
Is not too bad; chain is two times twelve dogs long so I can get from patio to garden and inside where Master's box is - but the shame of it! :(

Oops no more time Mistress is in kitchen - I can smell chicken - maybe she's not that cross with me. :D

Love and Licks to all of Mistress' friends in the box. :smileyhea

Hello Diary and dear MSE Friends, :hello:

    Phew. Done it. :D
Heaps of paper tidily piled; appropriate numbers extracted, noted and aligned in columns. At which point the final frightening step wasn't so bad after all: ;)
The on-line SA questions are a lot easier to input than filling out the old paper forms used to be. Weirdly, it was almost enjoyable <how sad is that?> especially as the final twisty sums solved themselves which was a surprise (and a relief :p).

..Revealing a figure that confirmed what PC had suspected; as the recession has dragged on, my little part-time business is failing. :( If he were still here, I'm certain PC would now be encouraging me to look at other possibilities for increasing the contribution I can bring to our income..

    :o

It's all change in The Nest without PC of course; the next TR covering the year he passed on is going to be rather more complicated - so I hereby promise that I will not leave it so long between filing sessions from now on. :)

The good news: Apparently THEY over-charged me in some earlier time; but rather than a note with the information that my deficit has shrunk a little, THEY elected to offer a refund. Interesting. A different mistake, therefore a separate solution perhaps?
It's not a large sum, but sufficient to ensure that Daft Dogs and I won't go hungry for a few weeks.
..No new bill was a very unexpected reward for completing the dreaded task! :j

Have awarded m'self a Baileys to celebrate; just a sip as the scales delivered a nasty shock yesterday <too many xmas delicacies> so the bi-weekly fast has been reinstated on Mondays and Thursdays. Need to shift 5kg <again :o sigh>.

Meanwhile a brace of strong, handsome young men are improving The Nest for me, and catching up with some general maintenance tasks. Gaffer is great; all I have to do is point at the [STRIKE]problems[/STRIKE] jobs and supply mugs of strong tea at regular intervals. :D

Blind Dog has spent the day striding regally round his domain, seemingly fascinated by the sudden proliferation of unexpected obstacles, with which he collided in slow-motion. :( No damage done thankfully, but no sooner had he 'mapped' an object than the chaps would shift it. So then he had to find it again - with every appearance of enjoying himself.
  • Yay :j:j:j well done Robin :j:j:j

It must be such a relief for you to have completed the task! You 100% deserve that Baileys :D Xx
