hi i have a problem with a small crack between the skirting board above the stairs and the wall, its on both sides and looks like a pen mark but is a crack (assume it kids running up and down the stairs) its a old victorian house and was wondering best way to fix it thought either beading over the crack or a silican filler then paint over any suggestions which best option please.

decorators caulk and then paint0

I posted about this issue back along as have the same prob.
Caulk will only sort it if its very fine, if its a recurring prob you can get a paintable silicone thats more flexiblle.
i had bigger cracks that kept occuring (house was renovated 2yrs ago)
so i made a new gap between the two and filled it, then painted over0 -
Put the kids up for adoption, problem solved0

Acrylic filler if you want to paint over it, not silicone.0

I wasnt suggesting Normaal silicone, as we all know you cant paint on that.
