Just feeling really down at the moment ( Have diagnosed mental health stuff) and part of this is about my money. I know I'm doing all the right things. Got on a DMP with the CCCS, so paying off £120 a month. Also paying off £30 a month on my Over draft. I think it's the over draft that is getting me down
I so want it all to be just my money in my account and not my overdraft. I could switch bank accounts, but with this one I have a visa debit card , which is useful for me to do shopping on line - for example Tesco don't take electron. So every time I check I see my overdraft and how far I'm into it
I know it's coming down, but not quick enough for me. To be honest I am getting obsessional about the whole money thing, it's all I talk about to my friend. Have others done that. It's on my mind all the time, not so much worrying, but wanting it all to be sorted now! I hope this makes sense? I am more in control of my money then I've ever been, but it doesn't feel enough just now

You sound like me with the overdraft!

You moan away to your hearts content, that's what we're here for
As for the bank account/online shopping......
What about Switch? Most places take Switch now, do most bank cards not have Switch on them...?
(I'm not sure, just a thought)
Are you EBAY-ing and Amazon-ing to make a little extra to beat the overdraft down?Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Hi Kendalls
I certainly felt like than, and to be honest still do, but just have to get on with it and try not to let it take over. I find posting here when I'm feeling down helps - so your definately in the right place! Regarding the bank account I opened a basic step account with natwest (did it online) and it has a solo card which I find is accepted by most stores and online + no overdraft so any money in is mine!! Hope it helps.

lol I honestly have nothing to e-bay or sell. I have very few clothes ( 2 pair of trousers, few t-shirts) no DVD's, etc I'll be ok, it WILL come down, just not quick enough for my liking:j £2 coins = £2.00 :j0 -

Hey we're all obsessed about money (or lack of it) on here. Your certainly not on your own. Things not happening quick enough for me either. Was really going well with my debts but I know April is going to be a really tough month for me moneywise, am really going to have to be careful. Hopefully be back on form come May time.
Just keep ploughing away at the OD, it WILL come down.0 -

Hi there and welcome...don't overly worry as you say it is getting paid off slowly but surely...having been diagnosed with a mental health problem are you claiming the right benefits...my son has recently been diagnosed with manic depression and although he was getting Is and Dla the job centre noticed he should have been on an extra £70 p/w ...which they've now paid him....so it's worth checking!!!0

Keep your chin up! It will get better.
