Two quick questions iva

We are doing joint iva in the next six months.I have two small debts I am going to get rid of, is it worth me holing onto vanquis credit card or do I need to include it? It is handy for emergencies.
Also I owe on previous countil tax, we want to clear it before iva as we have had a ightmare with balliffs etc, the iva comany said include it, this will mean it willtake forever to clear,what to do?

We have car issues that need sorting repairs, thats why we are waiting a while, we are currently on aself managed dmp.

When you go into an IVA you need to include all your debts - if you continue to obtain credit it could be deemed an IVA breach and your IVA could fail, you shouldnt risk it and include it in your IVA.

Council tax arrears can be included in an IVA but if you are not doing it for 6 months they may take legal action against you with Bailiffs. attachments of earnings so it might be better to make an arrangement or continue to pay it.

If you do include any council tax its only the arrears and you need to continue paying future bills going forward - the council will clear any arrears included in the IVA

HI, thanks for that, the council tax we had problems with was adifferent council than who we are with now as we moved.It is confusing. We would be abe to clear it before we do iva, thats the plan anyway...
