Honda insight hybrid servicing

Anyone got any experience of service charges for one of these?

I would imagine that being a hybrid, independents may not want to touch them? And if correct, then this might push up the dealer tariff?

Thoughts please.

I suppose it all depends on what extra items, if any, require servicing over and above those on a petrol or diesel vehicle.

Looks like there isn't a premium for the hybrid.
I know for the Prius there's nothing that needs servicing on the hybrid side for 100k miles, so you'll need to look at the service schedule to see when hybrid battery coolant fluid need changing for example.

I wouldn't be happy with a general spanner man messing round with regenerative braking, but everything like filters and oil should be ok. Hybrids can have quirks like being in ready mode with the engine off which could fool someone during an oil change, or the brake system doing something a few minutes after engine turned off 9if they wer edoing brake work). You do need to know at what point the car has actually fully shut down a system and it is safe to work on.
