So the home laptop seems to have developed a fault.
Press the on button, the F2/F12 screen comes up then it goes to a blank screen afterwards and stays there......no amount of on/off seems to get it past this.
What can I do?

Blank screen with a flashing cursor in the top left corner? Probably your HDD is FUBAR. Check in the BIOS to see if a) the HDD is being detected and b) that the HDD is the first boot device. How do I add a signature?0

no, there's no flashing cursor0

How did you establish the fault with the motherboard?
The pxe-e61 error relates to the system attempting to boot from a network device. This usually only happens in one of two scenarios - either the PXE boot option is one of the first boot devices listed; or the boot device(s) above it in the boot sequence has failed. What items are listed in boot devices (in order please)How do I add a signature?0 -

well it wasn't trying to boot from the network, researched google and they advised checking this.
so to it to the master who proclaimed the motherboard burnt0 -
