Car Insurance question

I had an accident in my 10 year old car a few weeks ago. Although the damage
was relatively minor (front end damage), the car was deemed 'beyond
economical repair'. As a result my insurer offered me the cash value of the
car. I asked to have the car returned as I believed it to be in a repairable
state. My insurer deducted £93 from the settlement for the 'salvage costs'
When the car was returned today from the salvage yard. It had a great big
dent in the rear door (drivers side) and the keys were missing (I did have a
spare though) As you can imagine getting the door repaired will add
considerable cost to the repair.
The salvage company 'claim' that that was how the car was when they
collected it from the repair yard.
What are my rights as regards the additional damage done to my vehicle?
Surely either the Salvage Yard and/or the Repairer should pay for the
repairs to the door?

I think its a classic case of your word against theirs. Do you have any pics of the car at the time of the accident so you can prove the damage happend afterwards? If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0

There are photos taken when the car was assessed and these were sent to the Insurance company. The car was assessed as being in excellent condition by the assessor and i got a good payout for the car. The insurance company are going to look at these images again and get back to me tomorrow.0
