Looking for a travel/map App - Rome

Hi all, I'm going to Rome for a 5 night break shortly, and I am looking for a specific type of app to help with planning each day.

What I would like is to select my start-point (my hotel) and also the names of the various attractions we're going to visit - and the app will calculate and display the distances (whether walking or taking the bus or metro etc).

Another useful feature would be if the app could tell me what other attractions are in the area - for example, if I chose Trevi Fountain, it would be handy if it could list all the attractions closest to there. (I think there are apps which will tell you which attractions are nearby your CURRENT location, eg Glasgow for me. But I want to be able to plan most of this before I get to Rome)

Can anyone suggest any suitable iPhone/iPad apps?

Thanks in advance.

Lori

Try Citymaps2go, available for iPhone and iPad, we used the App for a holiday to NYC earlier this year, the maps are downloaded to your devices and because of this you don't incur data roaming charges - just make sure that data roaming is turned off. There are basic search facilities via Wikipedia and you can mark on the map, not sure if it can calculate distances but because it also uses the GPS in your devices it shows where you are so you can easily work out how to get to your previously marked points of interest. We never got lost once in NYC so I can recommend this App

I have worked in Rome a few times over the years but never had the App when I was working there but it would have been a great help.
