Painting floors and wall in garage

Does anyone have any recommendations for specific paint to use for:
Painting a concrete garage floor?
Painting breeze blocks.
Not sure what I need, and would like some prior knowledge before going to B&Q and being sold what they say is best.
Of course links to any bargains are much appreciated!
Thanks ina dvance

Excellent idea, to do this, 'cos it'll lighten the garage up, assuming you've no windows & keep it cleaner & less dust!
Here's what I did...
If you've a pressure washer, or can borrow one, it's wiorth blasting the floor & wall before you start. Use a path & patio cleaner on oil spills, on the floor.
Inside of the roof is timber, so brush it all down (dust mask a must here) & a couple of coats of the cheap light coloured fence stain you can find. I got a big tub (8lts I think) of red cedar reduced in B&Q, to do ours.
Walls, brush down & scrape out any loose mortar & re point to get nice edgesaround the blocks/bricks. Doesn't need to be bricklayer finish, but costs pennies & looks good, after.
When it's dry, 2 coats of exterior masonry white - smooth, 'cos it goes further. Wasn't over impressed with the Wilkinsons stuff, but it was cheap & OK for this job.
Then the floor'll need 2 coats proper Garage Floor Paint - grey or red usually. The cheap stuff from Wilkinsons - this was OK & £5 or so less for 2.5lts than some places. You can use a roller, but a 5'' brush on your knees & you'll not miss any smaller areas. Again the floor needs to be dry before starting!! & you'll not be able to drive on it for a couple days.
Think about putting a piece of carpet, about 18'' high & a bout 3' long, a foot or so of the ground, on the wall, you open the car door on - then you'll not bash the car, or the new wall paint!
& if you do all this, then spend £500 on a new door, like we did a couple of months back, someone will drive into it, from outside, cracking all the brickwork, along the inside wall, you've just pained!!
That's what happend here, a week ago!!

Ordinary external wall paint will do for the breeze blocks, you can get special concrete paint for floors (International Floor Paint from B & Q, £40 for 5L!!).
It's b****y hard work doing the walls !0 -
Thanks for the quick info
I'm doing this as we are getting gym equipment for the garage.
Unfortunately I wont be able to power wash/repoint as I wont have time.
Re the floor paint - I've seen this looks adequate and a good price?

ot,
i bought my garage door off ebay for 25 quid. like new, it was 2 yrs old!
and yes proper garage floor paint is expensive.Get some gorm.0 -
Wouldn't bother with ebay for what looks like quite expensive, compared to Wilkinsons, for floor paint!
Hope it turns out worth the effort - must be cheaper than gym membersship!!
But you won't need the equipment, after you've done it - all the exercise'll have you fit - or knackered!!
