in Credit cards
Firstly thanks for reading
I came here to get some advice about applying for a new CC because I dont know anyone in 'real life' who would be able to help me.
Currently I have one credit card with my bank.
I usually pay it off in full, sometimes (for example when I brought my computer) I have to pay it off over 2/3 months. But its currently got very little on it and I am able to pay off my next bill in full.
I am very intrested in saving money where I can/getting things for free (hence being on this site
)
I have recently been thinking about applying for a Tesco credit card. I like the idea of collecting club card points whenever I use it, ultimately saving me money on my shopping/whatever I choose to use my vouchers for.
Does this sound like a sensible thing to do?
Will having more than one credit card effect my credit rating negatively?
Any advice will be much appreciated.

Tesco are quite picky, so they might reject you unless you have substantial credit history.
Think about it though, its 1 point worth upto 4p per £4 spent, thats 0.25% - 1%. Will something like a Aqua card be better? (pays 3%, upto £100/year).
As for having more than one, I've got 4
Having 2 is good sense IMO, as if one gets refused, you have a backup!
It's only bad if you have a balance on them for too long and missing payments/only making the minimum payment.0 -
TBH Im abit green when it comes to credit cards and cash back.
I think because I work at Tesco, its the one Im most famliar with, I wasnt really aware of credit cards doing cash back on all purchases. I just know mine doesnt.
Aqua card sounds like its worth looking at.0
