HTC repair centre cannot find my phone

Hi, I returned my HTC Desire S to the repair centre for a second time due to the same fault with the earpiece.
They quoted 5-7 working days for return. I chased yesterday which was the 7th day, and they said they can see it scanned in, but no movement on it. I've since called 3 times for an update and they say they do not know where it is and they will now take another 7 days to investigate what has happened. They said I have no rights and just have to wait for them and there isn't anyone I can send a complaint to. I need my phone back as I use it for work.
Do I just have to put up with this terrible service ?

Who is the retailer? can you use these people to apply pressure to HTC?
Try writing to head office, I am sure there would be a complaints procedure.
Just pick up a £10 handset from Tesco or Asda in the meantime.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
I have a handset but not a smart phone, so I can't get emails etc. or work on my website. I will try contacting Orange tomorrow cheers.0
