Have you thought about asking your employer for an advance until the end of the month? I don't believe it's all that uncommon, and they can recover it at source so it's low risk for them...

depending on the OP's bank account, she may not have an overdraft facility available.
I would ask my employer for an advance, i'm sure they'd oblige rather than have you not in work because you can't afford fuel, or
ask your boyfriend if you can stay for 2 weeks because of financial difficulty, he's not going to say no unless he's being an idiot to you.
car boot sale/ebay is a great idea too. You can always raise £200 if you really think hard enough.0
