Am I entitiled to redundancy pay in this situation?

In July I was told that the side of the company I work on is closing at the end of November, this was unofficial notice as I was given nothing in writing. At this point I began looking for other work, and have sucessfully secured another job and handed in my notice (4 weeks) to my current employer.

It has been announced today that another part of the company is closing at the end of September, and to save on various costs, they have decided to bring forward the closing date of my side of the business to the end of September to coincide.

This now means that when I leave (5th September), I will be within my notice period required for redundancy (5 weeks).

Where do I stand with this? My gut feeling is that I'm not entitled to anything as I handed in my notice before the date changed, but I just wanted to check.
