This is a joke. The prices have been going up far too quickly in recent months/years.
Unless you book months in advance you struggle to get a good deal and after speaking to some people at work the costs of a season/monthly pass is ridiculous.
Sorry about the rant!

The cost of practically everything is going up.
No reason why train fares should be any different.
Just gotta roll with the punches.0 -
Twice the rate of inflation though? Ouch.
I am glad I rarely use the trains nowadays. Overcrowded, over-priced and a crap service to boot.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
Are less people using trains nowadays?
Not wishing to defend price rises but regardless of inflation if less people are using the service prices will inevitably need to go up.0 -
I suspect people are using buses a lot more now because the prices are incomparable.'Never forget that only dead fish swim with the stream.'

Furthermore, it was cheaper for me to rent in London that buy a season pass to commute in. Now, considering how much it costs to rent in London, that is ridiculous.'Never forget that only dead fish swim with the stream.'
