Garden Incinerator Bargain

We were looking at the weekend to buy a garden incinerator (dustbin type) and found them priced at between £30-£40.
This evening we went in to our local Aldi in Exeter and found they had just had a delivery of them and although going through the till at £19.99, had been further reduced as manager's reduction to £12.99-May just be a local thing. We thought £19.99 was good but £12.99 was even better!!

Out of interest, if you pile grass up in a dry garage, can it be burnt, and can the ashes be used on the garden (potash source ?).

Check with your council whether you can have garden fires - our allotment site aren't allowed, due to complaints from newly-built apartments.

Thats correct, or put it in your compost heap. Same for hedge cuttings. Theres no rules against fires, just that not at silly times and make sure neighbours dont have washing out..

Sadly the lawn grows too fast for my compost heap. I've already got 1300 liters of grass and hedge cuttings rotting down.

Ditto - had to resort to getting a bale of straw in this year to speed the process.
