Barclays Cash Account (Basic) upgrade ?

I remember earlier this year getting a letter from Barclays to say in the future they may change my Cash Card Account to a Bank Account, and if so I would be notified.
My account is still a Cash Card Account and has never been changed, but due to credit problems in the past I had four defaults, these have all been satisfied and have now dropped of my Credit Files as of last month, but do Barclays get a monthly feed from the Credit Reference agencies (The Cash Account appears on my Credit Report as Current Account) and based on my now ‘Clean’ file will they upgrade me, or do they manually upgrade and check once every couple of months or how does it work ?.
I did ask the branch staff but they did not have a clue what I was on about !.

Barclays will do a full credit search when you apply for their current account.0

They do get a 'feed', but they will use both internal scoring as well as perform a full credit check via certain CRAs when you request an upgrade.0

Yes the letter said:
* The conditions of the Cash Card account are changing so that they can upgrade customers to another current account, if they meet certain eligibility criteria, and they consider that switching you is not likely to increase your costs (based on assessment of your previous account history), they will write to you at least. two months notice before making the changes.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0
