Good apps to download

I've been downloading a few apps on my samsung tab,

i was just wondering if anyone can recommend any good ones, i go away on holiday soon, so would like a few apps to use when away, so far i've got.
sudoku (very pleased with this)
facebook/twitter
bbc i player
itv player
crosswork lite
speed card
dominos
word here
tap blox.

I would like to download a few free books but can't seem to find out how to get free ones.

Also i'd like whatsapp, but it says that it's not compatiable with my system?

The Amazon kindle app - anything free for the Kindle is free on the App. If you have a Kindle they sync but even if you don't you can buy things from Amazon (either the app or on you PC) and things go straight to your phone.

The Moron Test is fiendishly addictive.

There's a few Chess apps out there

Most newspapers have their own app

@barbarawright, thanks downloaded the kindle app, and got 12 books on it now for my holiday.

@david, i love it, as i have a samsung phone, i'm quite used to settings etc, just need to find out how to download movies now, and get whatsapp on,

    My friend bought this

today, and i had a mess about with it, imo i think that the samsung is much faster and better, and i do think that the 10 inch screen would have been a bit to big for me.
The 7 inch is fine for me and will do everyting i want it to do on holiday.

Plus i paid £199 for it, can claim £30 cash back, and i got £10 back through quidco, so it made it £160.
Just ordered a nice case for it from amazon.

I was like you, torn between a few tablets, but then again i know nothing, as not technical, so it really didn't matter that much to me.

    Good luck with your choice.
