Earning no claims as a named driver

I am wanting to go from having 2 cars to one with myself as the main driver as I have 7 years no claims with my partner as a named driver having 5.
Does anyone have reccomendations as to which insurers offer this and who is best for honouring this should I want to go back to having 2 cars etc. As I notice that Aviva for example knock you back to just having 1 year!
Thanks for any advice

To keep both ncd, you can alternate which of you buys the insurance each year.
Insurance cos will accept it usually up to 2 years old.0 -
Quentin's suggestion is a good one. No claims bonus last for a while; I believe two years but don't quote me on that.
Alternatively you can go with an insurer who gives names driver's no claims discounts. I know that Direct Line is one.
It might be cheaper in the long run to keep switching who is the main driver as Quentin suggested unless it would be much more expensive to have one of you as the main driver.0 -
Switching is the better option. With DL and co you cannot "bring" your NCD with you as a ND so you start from scratch plus when you do decide to go back to multiple vehicles it is only that insurer that will recognise the ND NCD and just because they are cheapest for you doesnt mean they will automatically be cheapest for your partner.0
