Cheap trains travelling early morning possible?
I have read the tips for booking 12 weeks in advance and have started looking now for 2 adults Birmingham to London in November. Travelling down.about 5am on a Thursday and back on a Tuesday evening.
I was hoping to find the £7.50 one way advance fare but have only found very expensive tickets. Is this normal for travelling this early or is there a better time to book?
I have looked through the boards but apologise if I've missed something but Im on my phone!!
Thanks all

That is quite normal as it's a commuter time and all tickets are expensive.I have read the tips for booking 12 weeks in advance and have started looking now for 2 adults Birmingham to London in November. Travelling down.about 5am on a Thursday and back on a Tuesday evening.

Although saying that I found tickets at £15.00 out (27 Sep) and £6.00 return (2 Oct) which is reasonable for that time of the morning so I'd wait a few more weeks for some more tickets to be released to get your dates.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Just a little bit early for November cheap Advance tickets, if you check this website http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/booking_horizons.html you'll see that Virgin trains (£7.50) only released up to 25th Oct so try again this Friday or Next.
Or if you want a cheaper tickets but longer journey then London Midland (£6) up to the 6th Nov.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0 -
Thanks both. I was going straight to the virgin trains site as they have the dates up already. I will give it until next week and hopefull find some around the £150

You could perhaps also consider Chiltern Railways as a possible source of inexpensive tickets between London and Birmingham.0
