.cwk convert to a Word Document

Hi
Wondered if anyone could help, I need to convert a (i think apple doc) document with the extension .cwk so I can read and amend it in word, does anyone know if this is possible?

    Yes, just open the document in Claris Works or AppleWorks on a Mac and save it as a Word for Windows document.

    Sorry I don't have a Mac I've just got Microsoft Word, is there any other way of doing it?

    Having a look on another forum it is suggested that you locate the file, highlight it and rename it, deleting the .cwk and renaming it .doc, havent tried it myself though

    I seem to remember there was a version of ClarisWorks and/or AppleWorks for Windows. I'm not sure which versions but IIRC the file format didn't change that much except from really old versions.

    Try OpenOffice, seems to open most things you throw at it.
