Holiday in June, Cheap and Hot, Ideas?

Hi All,

Hubby and I want to go away in June for either 1 or 2 weeks (depending on price). Would like somewhere hot and sunny and possibly all inclusive.

Thinking maybe Turkey? Any suggestions about destination or agency to go with etc? Has to be quite cheap, we have £600 for definite and are hoping to save up a bit more, so maybe £800 in total.

Thanks.

Ok, found one holiday, how is this for price?

Depart: Tue 12 Jun 2007 from London Gatwick to Costa Daurada for 1 Week, 2 Adults, All Inclusive £614.16 (that is excluding in flight meals). Is this a good deal? The plane home doesn't leave until 20.25, should I book a late room checkout? This is an extra £28 (seems a lot of money for what it is!).

    Any thoughts?

I dont know about the value as i havent travelled to that area myself, but I have spent a very long day with nowhere to go , and no secure luggage faciliities, when I was on a late flight home. It was tedious and i would willingly have paid £28 to have had somewhere to eat , drink and relax (and to be able to access my cases if I needed something I had packed )

    How about Rhodes, Greece?
travelrepublic.co.uk are showing several alternative hotels/resorts for around the £600 mark all-inclusive for 2 adults.
You can even take a day-trip to Turkey from there if you like!

the villamarina always feels a little bit like a compound- it is in a spanih residential area about 15 mins from the tourist bars, beach etc. there is usually far too many people in there- i have witnessed guests queing for an hour to get a drink at the all inclusive bar. food is fine but generally hotel is too shabby , to crowded and is often fairly rowdy!

it tells you something that this hotel employs an english member of staff to deal with all the complaints!

however get in some of the new apartments next door with own pool- its 5 mins back to food and drink - and there are great
