What security are you updating daily?
The "leak" could be anywhere along the chain from within your household, your PC, the vendors systems, the merchant services providers systems, the banks systems or with good old Royal Mail or with whichever postal service your card issuer uses (eg UKMail)
Of cause it can also just be a random card generator thats been "lucky" to get you twice.
Never heard of having to wait for a statement before but have previously been told when money is only ring fenced and not actually taken yet that you cannot do anything. Who is the card issuer? Do you use 3D secure? What sort of retailers are you using the card with?0 -
Norton internet security, previously used Microsoft. The issuer is Barclaycard and yes i use 3D.The first time was a different card supplier and was used online only, the second one was fraudulently used through Paypal0

I have the e-mail address of the bas###d who defrauded me but i guess it won't be a regular one,shame.0

bold bit of quote edited.I have the e-mail address of the bas###d who defrauded the card company but i guess it won't be a regular one, shame.
If you can see the transaction on-line I see no reason why the provider would refuse to investigate.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
They said PP have to investigate first, they say up to 10 days,if they don't refund then i have to get back in touch with the card provider but i have to wait for a statement first. So if i do not get a refund it is me who has been scammed0

Sorry - missed the later info that this time the charge went via PayPal - that makes it more compkicated (and I think less likely that you'll get a refund).loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0

It doesn't matter if the charge was through Paypal or Amazon or a retailer you use daily. Fraudulent use of your card is fraudulent use, they must investigate immediately, the retailer that was used makes no difference.0 -
I am disgusted by the attitude of Barclaycard and there lack of action.0

Barclaycard phoned me back and apologised for the wrong advice i had been given,i will not be held lible for the fraud and i even got £10 for there errors in the advice i was given.0
-
Just make sure Barclaycard apply the £10 - have had a few counts of wrong advise and very quick offerings of £10 compensation which don't turn up when they say they will0
