We have had exactly this problem just today

Client passed the AIP - we submitted the full application
Full Application credit check done
We provided all the requested documentation
Valuation done - all fine
Underwriter requests a latest payslip
We fax over the payslip
Offer issued and printed off from Halifax website
Call today - Case pulled for audit and case declined/offer pulled
No reason given - just to check credit report
Something discovered even though it had passed on the AIP and the Full Application credit checks

Have also had the same happen with Abbey and Platform.

Lenders definatley getting a lot more cautious, auditing more often.

Congratulations. I know what you went through because me and my partner were a default case too. Luckily our offer has now been issued and posted. Enjoy your new home and I wish you and your partner all the best for the future

Congratulations, it's great to hear a success story. We're about to start the mortgage application process, and I'm massively concerned that my year old £14 default will ruin our chances. I'm not getting my hopes up but I am pleased to see people in a similar position to me have been accepted. Fingers crossed.
