Thanks to everyone here for your help and advise. I managed to get some tickets for the 200m finals that (hopefully) Sophia Warner will be running in!! Perseverance hard work, effort and a word in the ear of the right person got me some tickets yesterday. To see her hero run in the biggest event in the world - and on home turf has made my daughter the happiest girl in world - and ergo I am the happiest dad in the world!

Great news, as given your circumstances with your daughter you should be there.

Fingers crossed Sophia makes the final.

If you can't get to an event at the Olympic Park, there are tickets just to see it available online for £5, which is definitely worth checking out since it's so affordable.

These were £1 for children and OAPS - bargain! I heard that 100,000 were released but can't see them now so assume they are all sold out? Wow! They are still saying more tickets will be released when the events actually start too.

Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

More have been released today. Can't recommend enough the twitter feeds such as @2012ticketalert and it's other 2 alert usernames - more info https://www.2012ticketalert.com. With twitter you can set it up so you get a mobile alert when a particular username posts a tweet, so you don't have to sit at the pc.

All of their usernames do automatic tweets now and again so not every notification means tickets are on sale, but it did mean I got my Paralympic tickets today. :)
    :)
  • More released today some already sold out
