Baxi Back boiler - hot water

Hi all,
My house has a Baxi back boiler.
The last couple of days the hot water hasnt been heated up using the timer. If I mess around with the timer and turn the flame on and off it starts to heat up.
Anyone ideas what could be wrong - someone has said the thermostat could have gone??

Depends what type of system you have for starters. Gravity, fully pumped, any zone valves, what timer/programmer you have.0
