Gmorning, ladies! DNMS, how was the festival??
Huge congrads, on your test results and interviews, BT1!
Had a mostly good MSE weekend - did some consulting work and have sent that in this morning, so hopefully should be getting pretty good money out of that.
Still very happy about Uganda's gold in the marathon yesterday - our first in 40 years!
Today in MSE:
- tea from stores and plan, we'll see on lunch as I have a colleague in town who has carried some things for me from the UK and I offered to buy her lunch in exchange!
- bike everywhere I need to go
- check banking and update budget
- make leftovers to fill my pretty new freezer!
- make arrangements for trip upcountry later in the week
- check UGX account to see if refund has come through
- follow up on insurance from robberyMortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000
Debt free as of 1 October, 2010
Taking my frugal life on the road!0 -
Hi all,
I was doing so well with my finances until about a week ago. Haven't fallen off the wagon thankfully but I'm a bit lost as to where I actually am atm! I've been reading these daily threads for a while now and I think I'm at the stage where it will really help keep me motivated and on top of my finances
. I'm in the process of buying a house, so as the old adage goes, every penny really does make a difference!
My plan for today:- Check current account
- Check money in ISA (pft...what money!)
- SB and GH
- Surveys (if I have any today!)
- Work on dissertation (in work so saving electric
) - Try and think of 4 new ways to make money
- Update spreadsheets
- Packed lunch for later!
- Try and fit some exercise into my hectic schedule!
- Try and cut out 400 calories from my diet! (save money and lose weight at the same time :rotfl: )
Good luck with your DFW day today

Awww my list is tiny compared to everyone else's!

1. Continue to breast feed baby (saving massive amounts not using formula!)
2. Wash clothes on Eco cycle as none of them are heavily soiled.
3. Plan a list of meals to batch cook and replenish freezer stocks!

Not a bad day all in all but I feel very lazy. I think I need to make sure I'm up and actually doing stuff because it's so easy just to sit in front of the telly doing absolutely nothing.
I've enjoyed the peace and quiet of having littlest back at nursery to be honest.Ninja Saving Turtle0
