Thanks for the message Itsadogslife, your words mean so much.
I am dreading the cycling if truth be told, my bike is so old and rikety, it's stuck in one gear so I'm really not sure that its going to be a feasible mode of transport - goodness only knows when the car will be fixed, I think the trainers may have to be dusted off.

Hello all,
Today was a 'meh' day. The car worked and got me too and from work, thank goodness. I just need it to keep doing that until payday when I can get the blighter booked in and fixed.
It was a NSD today and I managed to get out and go for two walks, one at lunch time (1 mile, 20 mins) and another this evening (about the same). Its just nice to get some fresh air.
I'm missing my doggy but at least I know hat she is no longer in pain, my other doggy (the one whos is actually sick (brain tumour!)) is looking around for her friend and sulking, that is until the treats come out, then she perks right up - she keeps trying to get on my knee and give me dog snogs, this sounds fine, except that she is a BIG dog and I her head is so heavy that I cannot lift my left hand to type when she is after a fuss!!
Work was okay today, first day back after two weeks off, but had too many emails to deal with and still have over 60 that all need my action, meh. They have waited for two weeks they can wait till tomorrow!
I really must update my budget spreadsheet planner, all the funds from the last pay day have gone on bills and unexpected but necessary spending. The good news is that I will have a major bill paid off by the 26th September - whoop whoop.
I've also managed to find some more 'old' paperwork and have discovered at least 3 more 'satisfied' accounts that had PPI included in the credit agreement so I shall be spending this weekend sorting and organising paperwork to start the PPI claim process on them. I even found it on at least 1 'old' storecard and on an old 'secured' loan which I think could be a substantial amount (well anything over £500 is substantial to me).
My eldest son goes back to school tomorrow so we have had the 'Mum, where is my..........' The school tie which I saw not 7 weeks ago did a houdini, OH was wonderful and located it stuffed somewhere in the deepest darkest depths of DS1's under bed storage - I wish DS1 would actually listen and put it in the pocket of his blazer so that he knows what he has done with it!
DS2 goes back to school on Wednesday - I feel normality is resuming thank goodness.
I've done some more surveys on Toluna and one of my Valued Opinons surveys has finally caught up and paid out, I am now 25p away from my first £10 amazon voucher. I'm really pleased. I wonder how long till Toluna starts to show - they say it takes 6 weeks to quantify and validate the results but I wonder how long it will take for me to reach that magic 79800 points?
Right O, I've rambled enough and jumped from subject to subject, hope you are all okay on this first September Monday evening.

Dear Diary,
It's been a long day but surprisingly I am in a good mood. This is largely down to my wonderful FIL who has arranged and implemented my central heating to be fixed. I'm now toasty warm again, thank goodness it isn't the deepest darkest depths of winter.
Work has been really busy and I still have a large number of emails to deal with - oh the joys of 'emergencies' at work to be dealt with, I wont bore you with it but lets just say, I've done the work of someone who is on at least 3 times my salary today, hmmmph, do I feel like a mug and totally under appreciated......MUCH! And under paid grrr. Okay rant over.
Managed to get two walks in today, again about a mile each, so I'm feeling less guilty about the two doughnuts I snaffled at work!!
I've still not looked at the budget spreadsheet, I WILL print my latest statements off tomorrow and DO it tomorrow evening - kids and FIL are out for tea so its just me and OH so something quick and simple for tea I think.
DS2 is back to school tomorrow and I can't wait. I think I'll use my last days holidays for the boys Oct half term hols with them - that will break this run up to Christmas up nicely.
Right O, off to finish my drinkie and to chillax before beddie bows.

Hello Diary,
Sorry I have been MIA, I've been bust lurking on other peoples diaries, making lots of yummy food and generally enjoying the last weekend of summer.
Friday saw us do a food shop after work, luckily for me my DH paidand so we now have a wonderfully stocked cupboard, fridge and freezer, got to love Ald! and A$da.
Saturday saw us clean and tidy and BBQ in the warm afternoon sun and on Sunday my DH decided that he was in the mood for baking/cooking so we have a mutitude of sweeties and cakes and dinners for the week - he is an angel at times :A.
It was back to work today, busy day, felt a bit rough and didnt feel like me until about 30 mins ago - I had back ache all day, I managed to miss a meeting at DS2's school so will need to call them tomorrow to 'discuss' what I missed - oh the joys of US/UK calls overrunning, I get to miss important school stuff.
I did get some good news yesterday, it seems that the £700 balance on the sister's debt (for flights) is actually only £483, so that gives me a bit left over this month so I have been able to buy my son a new carpet for his bedroom, this I am really pleased about as I have never had the 'spare' cash to be able to do this sort of thing - we have always had very generous family members giving us their great condition but still second hand furniture and in some cases off cuts of carpets. Now that my sons room has finally been decorated his 12 year old carpet has seen better days so it is time for a change and it was very MSE, it should have cost £190 and I got it for £100 so feel pretty good about it.
Right O, off to put the kids to bed, wish me luck, I may be some time....

Hi there, have caught up with your diary and have subscribed. Sorry about the car and the dog, my word that is so upsetting.
My ladies are 12 and 14 bless them. They manage to trampoline with my boy but are getting ever older.- I need to remember As for cars, I need another one but we have a banger on the go all the time, although I tell my too cool 12 year old its actually a "classic". Will hunt out the next classic....Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Dear Diary
I'm so sorry I've not been around, I've been busy with work and the DS's going back to school, that and reading Skint But Optimistic, Piquant and Grannyx2 diaries. Good reading stuff.
So theres been another pay day and I am happy to report that my share of my OH sister's debt (for flights) is now paid, just need to get to OH pay day (just round the corner) then it is gone for good and we can start to throw the spare cash at other debts and maybe a holiday.
The cupboards, fridge and freezers are fully stocked and I've meal planned for a good fortnight so I am pleased with that.
DS2 is away with school next week which will help with the amount of food consumed in the house (food monster).
My OH has been FleaBay-ing and with it has invested in a slightly larger slow cooker (5.5ltr) - I've cooked two meals this week in a 1.5ltr slow cooker that my SiL gave me a few years ago, but in all honesty with 5 of us to feed at dinner, it's a bit of a struggle to get all I want into it. I did a pork joint on Monday and beef casserole on Wednesday, both were lovely but could have been better - there was no room in it with the food to put the sauce/gravy/wine! and a good friend of mine has told me about a recipe for 'Coc@ Col@ chicken' that can be done in the SC so I really wanna give it a go.
OH is working all weekend so I have my DS2 all to myself for the two days, poor boy is going to be bored rigid, but he has his game console and homework for company. I would love to take him of out on a day trip somewhere but there just is no spare fundage. If it stays dry then we may go for a walk around the local lake or to the big park in the next town over.
I will need to get a few bits of shopping over the weekend, just need a bit of salad, some bananas, bread and milk, but nothing else, which is good.
Right O, off to lurk on a few more threads, I'm reading Mike's story (Mike's Mob - Lisa Waters) he really is a guy! who knew! lol, anyway I'm reading that at bedtime so I'm going to go get ready for bed and get comfy with the pad instead of the laptop.
Night all.

Hello Diary, hello MSE friends,
I've been AWOL again! I'm sorry. I've been busy keeping up with other peoples diaries and reading Mike's Mob (search Lisa Waters - he really is a fella, I promise!)
Things here have been very busy, work is busy, run of my feet, no time to do anything constructive busy, you get what I mean, and home life has been just the same! I'm a bad diary keeper, but in my defence I did say that in the beginning, lol!
I'm stressed at the moment, I know I am stressed as I have a permanent tension headache and I have erupted in anxiety spots, they are all in my hair and around my neck, and no matter what I do, they will not go and they are so sore.
About three weeks ago I went to see my GP about a couple of issues, the first of the referral appointments has come through so I am quite pleased about that, cos at long last I have an investigatetive (is that even a word??) appointment, heres hoping it leads to a diagnosis and a fix.
Monday is pay day again, thank goodness, there have been many NSD's but I have been too busy to count them - quick question - if you have DD going out on a day that you have planned as a NSD, does it still count towards your NSD's? hmm????
Right o, off to sort the next load of washing out, OH has said that he will do the ironing tomorrow while I have a lie in, bless him, he is good to me (sometimes, lol, but don't tell him I said so will you?)
See you soon.
