Lidl Half Price Offers 18th - 19th August

2 per customer seems more fair. I know the early-bird catches the worm but the disabled birds need to save money too!
I agree with meat offers (limited stock due to storage), but it wasn't that long ago when NO limit applied ............. it really was a free-for-all.
It could be more controlled, meat put out at different times during the day rather than just in the early morning - but would that be fair to a customer getting there at say 10am (none on show) and missing out, yet someone coming along at say noon could get some??
It is a difficult one and we actually get some meat offers for my semi-disabled Brother, who could never get there early morning.
I bought 30 bars of half-price chocolate last weekend and do this on a regular occasion - they do have hundreds and hundreds of bars though and some customers actually buy a full box.

For the first time I remember, St Neots actually sold out of the half price chocolate - there was not a bar to be seen when we got there at midday - I still have some in the cupboard from the last time it was on offer so was not too upset
Pork is St Neot's meat offer this weekend, but when I was in there last night they did seem to have rather a lot of the chicken, quite a bit of which was marked with the orange 30% cheaper label, even though the sell by date was Saturday. There was a fair bit of reduced stuff last night, including streaky bacon best before 30th August and salami slices with fennel best before 22nd September (a whole month away) Reducing fresh stuff that far ahead of it's best before date doesn't happen in Tesco/Sainsburys etc so I was a bit surprised. I wasn't complaining thoughDFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -

I dont like pork too much either but this particular joint is more like gammon. Its delicious, with no waste and goes in the oven in its own foil container which is then disposed of afterwards. Simple, quick and very tasty!! Although it looks small, it doesnt actually shrink much and is ample for 3 or possibly 4 meals.0 -

I would leave it in the foil and put it in the slow cooker for a few hours, that would be nice and tender.0 -
Organic meat is often much darker as it's matured longer by some supermarkets. I was told by Waitrose that the protective gas they use is carbon dioxide.
We used to buy 12 litres or 24 litres of UHT milk from Lidl for us, now we've gone organic we just buy it for the dawg so I'll be stocking up.0 -
Just got home from Lidl..no restriction on half price milk.
No meat offers here though fresh chicken still £2.05kg.
Picked up 5kg onions .£1.29 and late delivery on fruit, so may go back for plums at 99p kg.0 -
I bought a watermelon yesterday for £2. Never bought a whole one before but I thought it was cheap.0
