Non Payment of Overpayment???

I received an overpayment of tax credits last year, I appealed against having to pay it back but this was overturned and I agreed a repayment figure with tax credits. I cancelled the dd 3 months ago when going through difficulties and intended to set it back up. They haven't written to me or anything, I understand I should pay this back but whilst my difficulties are ongoing I am tempted to hang fire. Any advice?

    Advice?

Save the money you agreed to pay so when they come asking for it you can pay it back.

    Hope that helps.

How about no longer being masochistic?
    How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?

since you have defaulted on your agreement, they may also ask for it all in one go.

did you tell them you were stopping payment or just stop paying?
