Ford Fusion headlight - spare bulb hole

I have a "spare" bulb hole in the headlight of my 2009 Ford Fusion (UK).

Does anyone know what this is for?

Thinking of trying to put a daylight running light (LED) in there, but don't know what fitment I would need.

    just whack loads of sellotape round it to wedge it in:p

    It would be nice to know what it was actually for. Guess I could just stick a bulb in and see what it looks like.

    Why would you want to put in a daylight running light?

    I normally drive with my headlights on. DRL will use an awfull lot less power and are now compulsory on all new cars.
