I hope someone can help me. I bought a cheapy aubergine plant earlier in the year as I wasn't having any luck growing them from seed - it's now getting fruit on it :j but I don't know if they're meant to be a baby variety or if I need to wait until the fruit is full-sized before I pick them - they're purple from the moment they appear so I can't go by colour. (I don't know if this is normal - it's the first time I've succeeded in getting fruit on a HG aubergine plant. :o)

The variety is labelled as 'Cava', but I've tried g00gling and can't find any mentions of a variety by this name. Has anyone grown this variety before and would be able to tell me whether I've got baby aubergines or big ones, please?
Back after a very long break!
