Nightmare with Electrolux cooker

Hi everyone
I hope someone can give me some advice.
We bought a new Electrolux cooker 4 months ago (April 2012). It was an ex display model and we got it for a good price. It was bought from a local trader. When we first used it, we noticed the light in the bottom oven wasn't working. I nipped down and got a replacement bulb from the guy who sold it to us. However, that didn't work so he told us to register the 12 month warranty asap and call them a few weeks later.
The cooker was registered but we decided we could live without the light as we work long hours and didn't have the time to sit in waiting for an engineer to see what the problem was.
So...yesterday the bottom oven door literally fell off its hinges. The door still closes, but it has to be put in place very carefully and just falls off when we open it again.
I contacted Electrolux and they said we could be charged £95 at least if it looks like accidental damage, which it certainly wasn't.
My question is - should the guy who sold us the cooker give us our money back or replace the cooker or do we have to take our chances with Electrolux?
I hope someone can give me some advice.

Most oven doors can be removed - for cleaning. Check the instructions for refitting it. If you are confident you have done everything you could get the engineer out.0

I never thought of that...I'll do that this evening.
Thank you so much
