Delays like this are very rare but with the stroppy European ATC's
this could be useful and it's FREE.

Pretty useless really. You would most likely already be at the airport so you could/should look at the departures board.
I would not trust it to allow me extra time to get to the airport and I doubt/know that if RA sent me a text saying there was a 2 hour delay then managed to make up the time and the flight only left an hour late and I missed it they would refund my fareThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Handy to forward to people collecting you at the other end, and it doesn't say 90 mins before the flight.0

You're right - it is rather useless as Ryanair are so incredibly punctual.
But it's better than nothing - while you would already be at the airport, it's not as if there are Ryanair staff milling around to help you. Getting a text telling me how long the delay is probably handier than relying on the airport screens to accurately update (though they are generally reliable I guess).
Either way - I'm shocked to see Ryanair do anything they don't have to do for free!0 -

I agree, they should make it optional, charge a quid to help keep prices down for the rest of us.0 -
Crikey Bob, you're right. I am surprised that it took you this long to see where YOU could benefit;)Bob_the_Saver wrote: »I agree, they should make it optional, charge a quid to help keep prices down for the rest of us.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. Is there a number you can text the captain on advising them they've just hit another aircraft whilst taxiing?
