Named Driver with IN10

Hi all

I am currently trying to renew our car insurance with me as the main driver and my partner as the named driver. Unfortunately, I made a claim on my insurance last year, and even though I protect my no claims, this has affected the premium this year. On top of that my partner has an IN10 in from 2008.

As you can imagine quotes have been astronomical. Any suggestions of reputable companies that won't charge an arm and a leg? The only reasonable quote I've had so far is from 1st Choice and, after reading what has been said about them on here, I do not want to use them!

Any help would be appreciated.

I guess most will add an extra zero onto the quote for an IN10.

Take your partner off the policy as i expect thats the biggest issue?

Well either get him off the insurance, maybe try contacting a broker, spend less to compensate for theextra money needed for the extra cost or get him to have his own car.

If it's any consolation, if your next renewal date is five years or more after the conviction date, then the IN10 conviction will normally be ignored
