PPI claim over 6 years ago 2000

Hello all

I’ve just started some claims for 2 loans and a credit card against Lloyds TSB, the only problem I can see is that these were taken out more than 6 years ago 2000 2001 2003 I have all the proof and have sent copies of everything.

I would love to hear from anyone who has managed to claim back PPI even though the product was taken out prior to 2006.

Fingers crossed and thanks for all the help I’ve gained form this site.

Proof of having PPI will not, on it's own, win you a miselling complaint.
You'll also need valid complaint reasons which are verifiable.

totally agree I have put forward a case for mis-selling on the loans as I had and still have a job with full sick pay for 12 months and the half pay after that as for the credit card I never knew I had cover till I dug out the paperwork after seeing all the adverts, my main concern was the fact it was 2000 onwards when I took out my first loan, I think it has to be worth a try

It will have been on each and every monthly statement as a separate payment item.
Not a strong complaint reason, therefore.

I have lost my overtime and as of 6 months ago have had my hours reduced, not good but still better than many other people who have lost there jobs all together.

So your job has not been as secure as you make out and the Bank already know this because they froze interest for you at the time?

If you still have arrears you should also note that any redress awarded would go first towards paying off any outstanding debt.
