Do you have a contract with the developer, if so what does it say about either side pulling out?

    Your right? - nothing, unfortunately.

My sister had this happen to her, after paying the reservation fee and some way down the purchase route and there was zilch she could do about it (as it's a reservation fee, not a deposit. And you haven't even paid it anyway.)

  • not at the stage of exchange contract yet. only reserve, sales girl faxed it to head office for processing and then was told by sales director the price is not right! it's only 3000 pounds difference!

I'd certainly expect to get my money back but you can't insist on the sale taking place at that price unfortunately, as you haven't got to exchange yet.
