Any opinions? Gas usage

I have just been told that my annual gas usage is 46,112kw and electricity is 7600kw. I live in a semi detached 1910 brick built 3 storey house with 5 bedrooms, 4 rooms and conservatory on ground floor. Attic is insulated with polystyrene boards and windows have been replaced with double glazing. I have just replaced gas fire with wood burner but any explanations as to why my gas usage should be so astronomical?

Whole mass of possible reasons and a combination of those reasons.

Presumably you haven't got cavity walls?

House temperature too high?

Old inefficient boiler?

Excessive hot water use.

Your electrcity usage is also very high, I would excpect around 5000kWh for a property with gas CH and DHW.
How is the property heated and hot watered?

Concur with Cardew, but also compare with your neighbour.

Thanks to all who have replied - house hasn't cavity walls, house temperature is rarely above 22 degrees but boiler may be an issue - have had additional rads installed but not change original boiler.

God I wish 5000kw, I'm up at 12000 with no excessive usage just loads of computers / games consoles / halogen spots

Is the billing correct or the forecast correct? Is the meter billed was imperial or metric and is your meter imperial or metric? Make sure they match.
