Flight delay - what are my rights

Hi can anyone point me in the right direction please. I am looking for information on my rights if my flight is delayed.
Specifically how long the delay has to be before I can cancel, and how this applies to a package holiday.
I have never been delayed and have flown lots of times, my travel insurance covers cancellation if I am delayed for 24hrs, but as I am only travelling for 4 nights, it wouldnt be worth me going if I missed my first night.
I have googled, and it says entitled to food/drink/call after a specific time, depending on distance. It only mentions flight refunds not package holidays.
I am just wondering what my rights are, just incase the worst should happen. Thanks

out of interest, why?0 -
You have the same rights whether or not your flight is part of a package. You are entitled to a refund under EU261 if the delay is more than 5 hours.0

Just because I would of never considered booking a 3 night break to Bulgaria, its to far to fly for 3 days in resort.
I am assuming that if my outward flight is delayed, my return flight remains the same.
I'm sure I will be fine, and there will be no delay, its just handy to know where I stand if the worst happens.
Thanks JPSARTRE thats very useful£100 - £10,0000
